MSNBC is carrying a story that researchers in the UK have utilized genetic sequencing of an MRSA superbug infection from 2009 to pinpoint possible causes, which will enable treatment & cleanup to proceed much faster than it does today.
"The researchers were able to identify the particular strain of MRSA causing the outbreak, and which strains were not, quickly enough to feed back into treatment and nip the outbreak in the bud faster than current clinical testing methods. " - MSNBC
