It appears that Dictator Obama may be willing to use Executive Orders to implement new gun control measures, including: Stronger background checks, a meaningful ban on assault weapons and limits on high-capacity ammunition magazines

While this comes as no surprise, since he issues executive orders whenever he feels Congress won't give him what he wants, he reminds me of the little boy that takes his ball and goes home when the other kids don't want to play his way. This idea is well illustrated in the linked article above, as Herr Obama says he will not negotiate with Congress on raising the debt ceiling, and played his standard tune of threatening that military members & social security recipients would not get their checks if the ceiling was not raised.

The debt limit might not have to be raised if he would quit trying to turn this into a socialist nation, where everyone is dependent on the government for basic needs. Cull your needless spending programs!!!

According to The Blaze, Boston Mayor, Tom Merino, says that VP Joe Biden "guaranteed" him that Pres Obama will pass sweeping gun control legislation by the end of January, 2013.

One good point made in the article is that Obama does not have to care whom he upsets with this term, as he cannot run for re-election anyway.  Between him, and Feinstein out in CA, we could be looking at sweeping legislation by Executive Order, regardless of the protections guaranteed by the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution.

New legislation seems more than a little hypocritical though, given that the administration does not even obey the existing laws in place regarding purchase of firearms, and supplies them, illegally, to Mexican drug cartels, who then use them to kill Federal officers.

Today, the town of Middleborough, MA, voted 183-50 to approve a fine of $20 for anyone caught swearing in public. source:  http://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/06/11/mass-town-weighs-20-fines-for-swearing-in-public 

FIrst of all, for a town with a population of about 20,000 residents, that's a disgraceful turnout for the vote.

Second, I foresee a potential First Amendment violation here in regards to "abridging the freedom of speech" . 

Amendment 1 - Freedom of Religion, Press, Expression
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

It could be argued that the law was passed so that people would not be offended by the speech of others, but nowhere in the Constitution is there any mention of a "right to remain un-offended". This law is designed to abridge freedom of speech by imposing a fine for public profanity.

Yet another example of government curtailing the rights of the people.
